SocialRES has been invited to a workshop on The Role of Radical Social Innovation in the Energy Transition
Energy Transition Week is a key meeting point to debate challenges and solutions for the transition to a future sustainable energy system. SocialRES has been invited to a workshop on The Role of Radical Social Innovation in the Energy Transition, in Trondheim, 26th March 2020.
A radical and fast transition of the energy system is necessary to meet the targets set by the Paris Climate Agreement and also discussed in the Climate Pact brought forward by the new European Commission.
This transition – though depending on technological innovations – can be understood as primarily a social issue, as societies all around the world are in a process of substantially shifting their societal models, implying shifts in the energy system as their backbone.
This workshop explores the potentials for citizen-driven radical social innovations in the energy system from three perspectives.
