Križevci Solar Roof: P2P crowdfunding investment model to finance an installation of a 30kW PV system on the rooftop of a business centre owned by the City of Krizevci (Croatia).
Križevci Solar Roof– Project was developed by the Green Energy Cooperative, in cooperation with the City of Krizevci and Krizevci Entrepreneurial Centre. They used the P2P crowdlending investment model to finance the installation of a 30kW PV system on the rooftop of an Entrepreneurial Centre owned by the City of Krizevci (Croatia). The amount needed for covering the investment was collected in ten days by 53 small investors with the 4.5% of interest over a period of 10 years and from the income generated by electricity production of the solar power plant on the roof. The minimum investment stake was 130€, and the maximum was 1.300€, with an average loan amount of 500€. Only citizens were allowed to participate in this investment although larger companies wanted to invest as well. The required amount of 30.000€ was raised in record time with interest from the citizens being five times larger than the targeted amount.
