The Romanian case study consist in the development of a virtual energy transaction platform designed to address the needs of the local community and improve energy transactions at the level of individual households.

The Romanian case study consist in the development of a virtual energy transaction platform designed to address the needs of the local community and improve energy transactions at the level of individual households. This platform will benefit at maximum from the distributed RES, available internally or from independent power producers.

The case study has a high potential of social innovation, empowering the end users to be active players on the local RES ‘energy market’ and will demonstrate the usefulness and necessity of providing an integrated service package for a proposed condominium association incorporating “green buildings”. The platform will be designed to aggregate:

  • Consumers (at the level of a households’ associations),
  • Prosumers (at the level of a households’ associations),
  • Small-scale RES producers,
  • Electrical energy licensed supplier.
